Hi Pat! These days I am so stressed out, and my mind is constantly wandering in all directions. It’s hard to keep calm and sane especially in stressful situations. Do you have any suggestions that would help me to have a more peaceful and centered state of mind?

Tom! I think you work too much, and you’re mentally exhausted. You need to get some rest. Even when we rest, we continuously consume mental energy by talking, reading, watching TV, and so on. Meditation is truly the best way to take a mental vacation. As for our bodies, the more we use them, the stronger they get. But when it comes to our minds, the more we bring them to rest, the more they become empowered. Why don’t you learn sitting meditation, and practice it regularly?
